GC SUNS EASY PAY

Q: WHAT IS EASY PAY?

Easy Pay is the club’s membership payment plan option allowing you to pay for your membership in one lump sum or in equal monthly instalments over 6 or 10 months.  The payment will be taken on the 15th of each month via a nominated Visa or Mastercard. If the 15th of the month falls on a weekend, the GC SUNS Easy Pay deduction will be transacted on the next business day.

Members renewing on the GC SUNS Easy Pay upfront option will have their annual membership fee deducted in full on 15 November 2018. Any new members who sign on to the upfront plan after this date will have their full payment deducted upon receipt of signing up.

Q: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF GC SUNS EASY PAY?

Easy Pay makes renewing your membership easier than ever with an automatic rollover each year. If you are a reserved seat holder you never need to worry about having to renew your membership by the cut-off date.

It also allows you to pay off your membership on a monthly basis with no administration fee or lock in contracts involved.

Q: HOW DO I JOIN ON GC SUNS EASY PAY?

You can ‘opt in’ to the GC SUNS Easy Pay by renewing or purchasing a membership online or by selecting Easy Pay in the payment section on your renewal or application form.

Q: AM I ABLE TO JOIN THE GC SUNS EASY PAY AFTER THE FIRST PAYMENT HAS COMMENCED?

Yes, you can still join GC SUNS Easy Pay after the first payment date has passed.

When signing up or renewing your membership, you will be asked to make any catch-up payments to accommodate the months that have been missed.

Q: HOW CAN I RECEIVE A 2019 MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM?

Q: HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY 2019 MEMBERSHIP?

You can pay for your membership via the following options:

  • Online: Visit http://www.goldcoastfcmembership.com.au and login to your My GC SUNS Account
  • Mail: Return your membership form to the club by posting it to: Membership Services, PO Box 4952, Gold Coast MC, QLD 9726.
  • Phone: Call 1300 784 436 to speak to one of the friendly staff in your Membership Team.
  • In Person: Come and say hello to us at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, Nerang-Broadbeach Rd, Carrara. We are open: 9am – 5pm Mon to Fri (excluding public holidays).
Q: WHAT ARE VALID CONCESSION TYPES FOR A 2019 MEMBERSHIP?

Concession memberships are available to the following concession card holders:

Student Concession Membership
Student concession membership is available to full time students. When applying for a student concession membership, proof of concession details are requested at the time of application. Student concession members must also carry their student identification with them on match day.

Pension Concession Membership
Pension concession membership is available to members holding pension concession cards issued by Centrelink, the Department of Health and Community Services, the Department of Veteran Affairs for the aged, disability support, war veterans, single supporting parents, disability carers, war widows and TPI pensions. When applying for a pension concession membership, proof of the applicant’s concession details are requested at the time of application. Pension concession members must also carry their current pension card with them on a match day.

*Please note Senior Cards are not a valid concession type for a 2019 Membership.

Q: WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT FOR A YOUTH MEMBERSHIP?

Once a youth turns 18, they are no longer considered to be a youth member. The date is relevant as of January 1 each year. For the 2019 season, any youth born before 1/1/2001 is no longer considered a youth member.

Q: WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT FOR A JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP?

As deemed by the AFL, once a child turns 15, they are no longer considered to be a junior member. The date is relevant as of January 1 each year. For the 2019 season, any child born on or before 1/1/2004 is no longer considered a junior member.

Q: IS A FREE SOUTHPORT SHARKS MEMBERSHIP INCLUDED AGAIN IN 2019?

Yes, to access this entitlement you must present your Gold Coast SUNS membership card at Southport Sharks to redeem your complimentary membership. This is only valid for 2019 members over the age of 18.

Q: CAN I PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP PACKAGE AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE ELSE (CHRISTMAS, BIRTHDAY)?

If you are looking to purchase a 2019 membership on behalf of someone else, please contact your Membership Team at gcmembership@goldcoastfc.com.au, to organise a gift certificate.

Q: WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY 2019 MEMBERSHIP CARD AND PACK?

Membership cards and packs will begin to arrive from late November. Members who renew prior to 27 November 2018 will receive their packs by Christmas.

Any memberships purchased after 27 November 2018 will be lodged after Christmas and will be delivered in Mid-January.

Q: CAN I CANCEL MY 2019 MEMBERSHIP AT ANY TIME AND GET A REFUND?

The GC SUNS aren’t obligated to cancel or refund memberships.

As per the membership terms and conditions, which can be found here, memberships are non-refundable and cancellations will only be considered under exceptional circumstances.

MEMBERSHIP AND RESERVED SEATING

Q: I PURCHASED A RESERVED SEAT MEMBERSHIP IN 2018 AND INTEND TO PURCHASE A 2019 MEMBERSHIP, WHEN IS THE RESERVED SEAT CUT-OFF DATE?

The reserved seat cut-off date is Friday 7 December. If you wish to retain the same seat you for the 2019 season you must renew by this date, otherwise your reserved seat will be released back into the pool of available seats.

Q: I AM A GENERAL ADMISSION MEMBER, HOW DO I UPGRADE MY MEMBERSHIP TO A RESERVED SEAT FOR THE 2019 SEASON?

You can upgrade your membership to a reserved seat by submitting a seating request in writing via email at gcmembership@goldcoastfc.com.au.

Q: I AM A GENERAL ADMISSION MEMBER, HOW DO I UPGRADE MY MEMBERSHIP TO A RESERVED SEAT FOR A PARTICULAR GAME?

General Admission members can upgrade to a reserved seat for any home game online through the ticketing agent. You will need the 12-digit barcode number on the back of your membership card.

Alternatively, you can upgrade on game day at Metricon Stadium by visiting the Box Office at Gate 1 or 3.

Q: CAN I ADD NEW MEMBERS TO OUR SEATING ARRANGEMENTS IN 2019?

Yes, we welcome all new members! Simply submit a seating request via email to gcmembership@goldcoastfc.com.au detailing the below:

  • Name, DOB, and contact details of your new friends or family members
  • Your current seat location
  • The requested seats for your friends or family members

The reserved seat cut-off date is 7 December 2018 and until this date, new members will be placed in the best available seats according to their request. If we are unable to complete their request, they can choose whether to keep or release those seats, or we can find a suitable alternative for your group. Seating requests should be placed as early as possible to allow the best chance of your first preference being allocated.

Q: WILL SUPPORTERS OF OPPOSITION CLUBS SIT IN MY SEASONAL RESERVED SEAT AREA?

In some circumstances, unsold seasonal reserved seats are required to be sold to the general public if allocated daily seating allocations are exhausted. To maximise crowd potentials, seats within seasonal reserved seating areas may be released for purchase if level 1 or 2 daily reserved seat ticketing allocations have been exhausted.

Ensuring as many supporters as possible have the opportunity to experience a Gold Coast SUNS game at Metricon Stadium is a high priority for the club, and if there are spare seats located throughout membership bays within the stadium, they have entitlements to sit there and support their team.

Denying patrons the ability to purchase reserved seats for a match when there is significant capacity available in seasonal reserved seat areas would reflect poorly on the club from supporters who may have travelled from across the country to watch the GC SUNS or their club play in a match at Metricon Stadium. Please note tickets won’t be sold into seasonal reserved seat areas unless the demand surpasses the supply on levels 1 & 2.

Q: HOW DO I CHANGE MY RESERVED SEAT FOR 2019?

You can change your membership seat location by submitting a seating request in writing via email to gcmembership@goldcoastfc.com.au,

Requests should be submitted as early as possible to allow the best chance of your first preference being allocated. You can submit up to three (3) preferences for preferred seats.

Q: IS PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE IN 2019?

Platinum membership has a strictly limited capacity due to a smaller number of seats available in this premium category.

In 2019,  a very limited platinum allocation may become available, with preference given to those on the existing Platinum waiting list and Gold renewing members. If you are a Gold member and looking to upgrade to a Platinum membership, please contact your Membership Team on 1300 784 436.

If Platinum membership is unavailable and you have an interest in an entry level corporate product, please contact corporate@goldcoastfc.com.au.

Q: WHAT IS A SUNS PASS, AND WHAT DOES IT GIVE ME ACCESS TO?

A SUNS pass allows Platinum and Gold reserved seat members to invite family and friends along to a game for FREE.

Silver Members also have the opportunity to invite guests at a discounted rate of $10.

The SUNS Pass allows the members guest access to the same seating category that the member has access to, excluding Platinum. As our Platinum seating category is at capacity, Platinum members will have access to SUNS Passes located in the Gold seating category.

More information on how SUNS passes work will be distributed to members in early 2019.

Q: I HAVE AN AFL MEMBERSHIP AND HAVE NOMINATED THE GOLD COAST SUNS AS MY CLUB OF SUPPORT, WHAT DOES THIS ENTITLE ME TO?

AFL Members holding a Gold Coast SUNS Club of support package have general admission entry entitlements to all Gold Coast SUNS home matches played at Metricon Stadium and must use their AFL Membership card to access the venue. Entry entitlements include access to General Admission seating bays and standing room areas.

Q: IF I HAVE A MEMBERSHIP AND MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY DON’T, CAN WE STILL SIT TOGETHER AT THE GAME?

You certainly can! All match access memberships entitle you to General Admission seating. This means that your friends and family can purchase a ticket through the ticketing agent and together you can choose your seat in the general admission seating area on Level 1 or your guest when accompanied by you can sit with you in our member exclusive general admission area on level 2.

If you are a reserved seat member you will not have access to bring friends and family into the reserved seating area as these areas are only available to GC SUNS reserved seat members. However, you still have the option to sit with your friends and family in the General Admission seating area.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY MEMBERSHIP CARD?

If you have lost your card please contact your Membership Team on 1300 784 436 and we can issue you a new card.

Please note a replacement fee of $10 applies.

You can collect your new card on game day at the Membership Services window at Gate 3 or alternatively, it can be mailed out to you.

You can still access Match days at Metricon Stadium, you will just have to come and see your Membership Team at the Gate 1 or 3 Membership Services window for a replacement ticket for that game.

Q: WHAT CORPORATE PACKAGES ARE AVAILABLE?

Q: IF I NO LONGER WISH TO RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP, CAN I TRANSFER IT TO SOMEONE ELSE?

Yes, simply contact your Membership Team via email at gcmembership@goldcoastfc.com.au with the new member’s details and written permission from the account holder to transfer the membership.

MY GC SUNS ACCOUNT

GAME DAY – METRICON STADIUM

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE ENQUIRIES REGARDING MY MEMBERSHIP ON MATCH DAY?

Any membership enquiries you may have at a GC SUNS home game can be answered by membership staff located outside of Metricon Stadium at the Member Services windows, located at Gate 1 or 3. If you are already inside the ground, head to the Metricon Home Hub (located under the video board at the northern end of the stadium).

At the match day customer service points you may:

  • Purchase/Renew memberships
  • Update details relating to your membership e.g. updating an easy pay credit card
  • Enquire about membership entitlements and details
  • Discuss issues about your membership aisle/seat

Members Services windows are open from main gates until the end of the 1st quarter, and the Metricon Home Hub is open from gates open until 3 Quarter Time. Please note issues may be unresolvable on the day and may require further actions to be taken the following week.

Q: WHO DO I SPEAK WITH IF THERE ARE ISSUES WITHIN THE AREA I AM SEATED IN?

At each bay throughout the stadium, Customer Experience Officers (CEOs) will be situated in blue polos/jackets and are the best point of contact for everything related to the area you are seated in.

They can manage any issues or enquiries within their designated reserved seat area, however when unable to assist, will direct you to Membership Services staff at the Metricon Home Hub.

Q: DOES METRICON STADIUM HAVE A MEMBERS BAR?

Yes, the member’s Light Tower Bar is located on the eastern side of Metricon Stadium and is for exclusive use by Full Season GC SUNS members and 3 Game Light Tower Pass members only.

Q: WHAT IS THE ENTRY POLICY FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?

Children aged 5 and under as at January 1, 2019 are entitled to enter Metricon Stadium at no cost, however they must not occupy a seat.

Q: IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE AT METRICON STADIUM ON GAME DAY?

Parking is not available at Metricon Stadium on game day. Members are encouraged to use the transport options available on match days. A shuttle bus pick up & drop off system allows members who catch the train arriving at Nerang Station to gain easy access to the stadium as well as a multiple destination bus service.

Metricon Stadium also offers a Park ‘n’ Ride service on Boowaggan Road, Merrimac. Please see Metricon Stadium’s website – metriconstadium.com.au – for match day transport information.

Q: IS THERE DISABLED (PWD) PARKING AVAILABLE AT METRICON STADIUM?

A limited number of Persons With a Disability (PWD) car parks are available in the Red Car Park at Metricon Stadium for holders of a valid, government issued disability parking permit.

These car parks will be issued to customers on a first in, first served basis on event day. For more information please contact Metricon Stadium on 1300 784 436 or email info@metriconstadium.com.au.

Q: AS A 2019 GC SUNS MEMBER, DO I RECEIVE FREE ENTRY TO JLT COMMUNITY SERIES MATCHES?

The AFL have confirmed that 2019 GC SUNS members with match access have FREE access to any JLT Community Series matches where the GC SUNS will be competing. Information on how members utilise this free access or how to upgrade their access to a reserved seat will be sent via email prior to the matches.

Q: WHAT IS PRE-PLAY?

Pre-Play is a credit amount that is pre-loaded onto your 2019 membership card. This credit amount can ONLY be used for food and beverage purchases within Metricon Stadium. This service is available at any food and beverage outlet displaying the Pre-Play logo.

If you wish to load Pre-Play onto your membership card, please contact your Membership Team on 1300 784 436.

Q: HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS TO MATCHES NOT HELD AT METRICON STADIUM?

Any member can purchase tickets to an away game by visiting goldcoastfcmembership.com.au and clicking on the Away Game Ticketing Tab.

Alternatively you can contact your Membership Team on 1300 784 436 or gcmembership@goldcoastfc.com.au prior to the cut-off date.

SUNS SHOP

Q: WHAT ARE THE TRADING TIMES FOR THE SUNS SHOP?

The SUNS Shop located at Metricon Stadium is open on game days only from the opening of main gates up until half an hour after the final siren.

On non game days, merchandise is available for purchase from the reception area of our GC SUNS Training & Administration facility located on Nerang-Broadbeach Rd, Carrara, Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.  open from when the gates open until half an hour after the final siren.

Merchandise is also available for purchase via our online SUNS Shop,  click her to visit.  For all other enquiries please contact the SUNS Shop on 1300 784 436 or at merchandise@goldcoastfc.com.au.

Q: AS A 2019 MEMBER, HOW DO I USE MY 10% DISCOUNT AT THE SUNS SHOP?

The 10% discount applies to all 2019 members on presentation of their membership card and is valid at the SUNS Shop or online. Members 10% discount is not redeemable when using membership vouchers and does not apply to memorabilia or clearance/sale items.

The discount for 2019 members expires on 31/10/2019.

Q: WHAT DOES MY MEMBERSHIP VOUCHER ALLOW ME TO PURCHASE?

2018 membership vouchers ($15, $20, $30, $35) allow members to purchase merchandise from the SUNS Shop at a minimum transaction spend of $30 per voucher. Vouchers cannot be used to purchase memorabilia products or any clearance/sale items, and are not valid in conjunction with members 10% discount.

Membership vouchers are only valid in store at SUNS Shop. Each member must present their 2019 membership card during the time of the transaction, with vouchers expiring 31/10/2019. Member vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
